A little about me

Born and raised in Southern California, my art has always been inspired by the strong presence of nuestra cultura. In 2008, I spent the summer in Leon Guanjuato with my Abuelita. In those three months, she taught me the art of flores de migajón, a style which had largely been lost in the previous decades. She herself hadn't worked with this medium in nearly 50 years! I am in deep gratitude for her kindness and generosity in teaching me this art, and I continue this tradition con mucho respeto, humility y sobre todo, amor!
